Republicanism: the happy couple.
So Camilla Parker Bowles thinks the forthcoming marriage of William Battenberg and Catherine Middleton is wicked. That is a typical comment from one of our so called ruling elite. Such people are obsessed with trying to control the sexual behavior of their relatives.
Apparently the happy couple admire each others GSOHs. Yuck! Pass the sick bag.//
The Battenbergs are of course an immigrant family. I have good news for them. The political situation in their home country has stabilised. So now they can return to Bavaria or wherever.
The Middleton woman simpered that she was shocked that William Battenberg asked her to marry him. If you believed that, you would believe anything. It is likely that the happy couple have been assessing each other as possible business colleagues for years. They have decided to make a go of it. It being the absurd family business.
As for the oily Charles Battenberg, he claimed that he wanted to be Defender Of Faiths plural, when he thought multiculturalism was the thing. Now apparently he wants to be Defender Of The Environment.
We need to get the whole thoroughly unpleasant crowd of Battenbergs out of British public life. It is an absurd anachronism that a royal family continues to be a factor in British politics. If the Battenbergs want to be a national soap opera, fine. Let them be so, but not at the public expense.
